Digital work that fits the working day
Put one journey on the table.
Use these prompts to describe the work before deciding what to automate or rebuild.
What starts the journey?
Name the person and the question or action that brings them to the service.
Which details decide the next step?
List product, quantity, delivery, contact or approval information. Explain which values are requests and which are confirmed facts.
Who acts next?
Identify the person or system receiving the work and the result they need to produce.
Where can it become uncertain?
Bring a repeated request, missing value or changed decision using invented or anonymised records.
How will completion be recognised?
Describe what the customer sees and what the team can verify. Name the reviewers and actual provider dependencies.
A worked planning choice
A hypothetical retailer can fulfil some orders directly but needs to assess another delivery case. The first release might show the available route before payment and collect a review request where needed. A single checkout that accepts every address would conceal the decision rather than solve it.
This is an illustrative example, not a client outcome. Describe your own journey.
